The Asian Mountain Academic Alliance (AMAA) envisions peaceful, resilient, inclusive, just, and regenerative mountains of Asia, where individuals, communities, and nations make knowledge-based and ethical decisions for life betterment, cultural preservation, and environmental regenerability.

AMAA’s mission is to co-create, together with stakeholders, knowledge and build competencies to address local and global challenges pertinent to Asia’s mountains and their peoples and societies.

It fulfils this mission by providing unique education, research, and innovation opportunities through collaboration within a self-reliant and future-fit network of institutional and individual members.
